The lyrics for my song entitled "Too Deep For Me"

[Date] Song recorded September 2, 2000
[Background] I'm not sure of the date I wrote the lyrics; they were written some time shortly before I moved from Virginia Beach. I recorded it on September 2, so that's the date I'll use. I wrote this song for the friends I've left behind because of moving, and especially for my friends at Kellam in Virginia Beach. If you would like to hear the song, go here.

[Poem] I often cry myself to sleep,
Wondering why I have to leave.
Just when I find a place for me,
I must move away,
I just can't stay...

So I cry and I scream in my sleep,
How do I fight these emotions?
'Cause they're much too deep
For me...

I try always to think about tomorrow,
But I will die thinking about yesterday,
And how you welcomed me in with open arms.
I vow never to let you go!
Oh no...

So, I still cry and I scream in my sleep,
Tell me, how do I fight these emotions?
'Cause they're much too deep
For me!

This is really tearing me apart,
Having to kiss everything goodbye,
But you will always be in my heart;
I pray that I, too, will remain in yours,
Forever more.
